Ryan P. Reddish
Ryan serves as Director, Acquisitions within FIA’s Investment Management Team. In his current capacity, he leads the company’s acquisition efforts, overseeing the identification, valuation, due diligence, and execution of potential investment opportunities. Focusing primarily on acquisitions since 2013, Ryan has played an instrumental role in the successful closing of over $2 billion in timberland transactions across the United States.
Ryan joined Forest Investment Associates in 2010, serving as Portfolio Analyst, supporting the Investment Management Team through property and portfolio-level analysis on FIA’s client portfolios. He currently serves on FIA’s ESG Committee. Ryan has been involved in various industry organizations, previously serving as Chair of the NCREIF Timberland Committee and the Georgia Division of the Society of American Foresters. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resources and Master of Forest Resources, both from the University of Georgia. He continued his involvement with UGA as a 2024 graduate of its Advancing Georgia’s Leaders in Agriculture and Forestry (AGL) program.
What is your business philosophy?
I believe a company is only as good as its people.
Why did you choose this field / career path?
I grew up around the forest products industry with my Dad procuring wood for a paper mill in southeast Georgia. It was a natural career path for me to follow.
What is one of the best lessons you’ve learned during your career?
The right decision is often the hardest one to make.
