What is your business philosophy?
Our work involves long-term vision and interaction with many people, cultures, and environments. I learned that due to the long-term nature of the forestry business, we must develop a keen sense of observation and perception, cultivate good relationships, and engage people with simplicity in actions, well-defined goals, and discipline. Create an environment with sustainable practices and actions that reflect good results.
Why did you choose this field / career path?
I was fortunate to experience the field of forestry early because my father was a forestry engineer. I have always been interested in aspects of nature. I loved weekend picnics outdoors and grew up when the sector was consolidating in Paraná, with a lot of interaction between school activities and the forestry sector. In addition, I have had the opportunity to meet many interesting people in forestry since childhood, and they have inspired me to follow this path.
What is one of the best lessons you’ve learned during your career?
In my professional career, I have been lucky to always work alongside talented and disciplined people I admire. I learned that listening, having a good dose of patience, being disciplined, learning from mistakes, thinking differently, and being simple and objective will make you a professional with analytical and integrated skills who brings people together and delivers results.
