FIA is proud to share our 2021 ESG and Impact Report, which reflects our progress in managing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations and in formalizing our views and practices as sustainable investors. Following our initial public reports covering 2019 and 2020, we have changed the name of this year’s report from “Sustainability” to “ESG and Impact” to better describe our focus on ESG and impact management policies, procedures, and our approach as a responsible investor. Sustainable forestry and the concept of sustainability – which integrates economic, social, and environmental dimensions – remain at the core of this report and the heart of the FIA business.
The report also highlights a key achievement in 2021, which was the elaboration of an ESG and Impact Roadmap, which reaches throughout our business to enhance our capabilities in ESG integration and to leverage our strengths in sustainable forestry investment. We believe this will support us in realizing opportunities for our clients and our business alongside increasing interest in forestry as a nature-based solution. We hope this report sheds light on how FIA is approaching this responsibility and opportunity, showing concrete actions, real-life challenges, and our efforts to manage forests responsibly for the benefit of our clients, the environment, and stakeholders near and far. We welcome your feedback about this report, and we hope you will engage with us as we move forward in our ESG journey.
